Bohart (Crosscut) to Bridger Bowl Loop 9.31 mi

Overview: NOTE: Bohart is now called Crosscut Ranch and is no longer accessible to horses. All of the same trails except the Crosscut portion can be accessed from Bridger Bowl or Brackett Creek. Nice ride starting at Bohart XC ski area and covering sections of a couple different Bridger Bowl Poker rides. Lots of single track and a creek crossing or two.

CAUTION: Watch for hunters during hunting season.

Distance: 9.31 miles

Elevation Gain: 1,343 ft

Technicality: Nothing too difficult. Start on XC ski trails at Bohart then continue onto portions of some of the Bridger Bowl poker rides.

Difficulty: Easy to moderate.

Parking: Super easy!

Water: Pond at Bohart. A couple of small creeks on the way to Bridger Bowl and in Bridger Bowl but these may be seasonal.

Season: Impassable in winter.

Shared Use: Portions open to bicycles, motorized, and hunting, but the only traffic I’ve seen in three trips are some vehicles on the dirt road sections. Encountered a few hikers, friendly dogs and someone siting in rifles.

Directions to Trailhead:
Start at Bohart Ski Area.

Timing: 2 hours 22 minutes averaging 3.9 mph mostly walking and some trotting.

Notables: There is a shortcut option totaling 8.73 miles but this cuts off one of the most fun single-track sections. For the shortcut, take the road that can be seen on the map cutting across the most northerly section of the loop.
